Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Group 7 existence and membership.

Getting Started

What exactly is Group7?

Group7 is the social media phenomenon sparked by independent artist Sophia James. She lit the match. The community fanned the flame. With Sophia's blessing, people have expanded the idea in many directions while keeping the same focus on connection, kindness, and creativity.

What should I do after I register?

For now, enjoy the ride. Meet people. Share positivity. Lift each other up online and offline. We will publish concrete next steps as we shape the community together.

Privacy & Safety

Is this real and is my information safe?

Healthy caution is wise. We collect only what you choose to share:

  • Name, for your fun membership card
  • Location, to help us spot clusters for possible meetups
  • Optional email, so we can send updates

We do not sell your information. We use it only to build community features. If you prefer to share less, that is fine.

Can I opt out or delete my info?

You have not committed to anything by registering. If you want your data removed, contact us through the site and we will process removals as we work through requests. A one-click delete option is on the roadmap.

Community

Are you affiliated with Sophia James or TikTok?

This site is created by fans and community builders who love what Sophia started. It is not affiliated with Sophia James or TikTok. We would love to collaborate in the future.

What is the countdown for?

The countdown was our target window to launch community features. The site went viral, which brought a flood of questions. Timing may shift, possibly sooner, because of the interest. We will post updates.

What does being in Group7 mean?

This site exists to amplify the spirit Sophia sparked. Think: kinder internet, creative collabs, signal-boosting each other, and showing up for real people in real ways. No gatekeeping. No weird tests. Just momentum for good.

What is next for the community?

We are exploring forums, regional meetups, collaborative challenges, and possibly merch. In the meantime, keep the signal strong: like, comment, follow, and cheer for fellow Group7 members. The internet needs that energy.

Will Group7 help with jobs, funding, or emergencies?

This site does not offer direct financial assistance or job placement today. The wider community already rallies around causes and creators, and we hope to support that better with features like regional groups and resource boards.

How can I help?

Spread the word. Share wins. Be welcoming. If you have skills, tools, or a platform and want to pitch in, send a note through the contact form with "I want to help" in the subject. We will post specific ways to volunteer soon.

Are there rules or guidelines?

We will publish a simple code of conduct. Until then: be kind, be honest, no harassment, no hate, no scams. If you are unsure, look to Sophia's tone. If it would make her proud, you are on the right track.

Can we have a group chat, Discord, or regional hubs?

We are evaluating options so people can connect without chaos. Regional groups are high on the list so local meetups can bloom. If you already run a healthy space, send it to us and we may highlight community-run hubs.

Will this help me go viral?

No promises. Algorithm gods are fickle. Group7 can help by giving you a supportive audience, more collaboration, and better ideas. That is often the secret sauce.

Is Group7 political or about any one belief?

Group7 is for people who choose kindness and creativity. We welcome a wide range of backgrounds and beliefs. We do not do litmus tests. We do expect respect.

Who is "in charge" here?

The internet, mostly. This site is maintained by a small creator team that cares about the movement and wants to build good tools for it. We listen, we iterate, and we will always be clear about what is official for this site.

Technical

I made a typo or moved. How do I fix my details?

A self-serve edit tool is planned for people who shared an email. Until that ships, the quick fix is to re-register for a new card. We know that is not ideal and we will offer better recovery soon.

I registered twice or my number changed. What now?

Duplicates happen. Keep the most recent card and ignore the rest. When recovery tools are live, you will be able to merge or update.
